I If I bowed at your alter, would you accept me? If I gave you my dignity, would you disgrace me? Kneeling before you, my body ends where yours begin. I pray at the chapel were others have visited But, where I found that love is born again. This is a poem that I started working on several months after a very bad breakup. I've left it unfinished almost intentionally, because just like in a relationship, no one knows what to say at the end. Like most people that write, I carry my notebook everywhere. Its battered and taped, but it still serves its purpose. Except for one thing. I've read this poem so much trying to figure out what to do with it, that my notebook has a cracked spine and it always falls open on that page, hence the title.  It's not much, but its all I really have access to right now.
